Cupric phosphide, Cu3P2

Cupric phosphide, Cu3P2, is a black substance formed by heating cupric chloride in phosphine. Other phosphides of the formulae Cu5P2, CuP2, and CuP5 have been described, but it is doubtful whether they are true chemical compounds.
